• We adjust quotes when the book condition is different than what was described. Prices are paid based on condition, edition, and ISBN. The item does not meet our sellback standards: • The condition of the item is materially different than originally specified, • The ISBN quoted does not match what was sent, • The item is determined to be counterfeit, fraudulent, or stolen, • Items listed on your packing slip were not included in the package received at our warehouse, • Items were received in our warehouse after the 30-day quote period and therefore are subject to a new market price.
All ISBNs have quantity limits ranging from 1 to 5 copies. Books of the same ISBN should be shipped together. We will take as many copies as the quantity setting in the Seller cart allows you to add. If you have more than that, you will need to contact us before sending them. Info@textbookexperts.com. We advise placing all books in one box to fit the order shipment. Do not put books in single packages and print multiple copies of the label, otherwise the fees for any additional label will be deducted from your buyback price.
Please only send books that we give a quote for. Books not listed on our site have zero value to us and are unable to be returned. They will be recycled or donated if sent.
No. Unfortunately, we do not send back rejected books or books sent to us in error. Books sent to us that we cannot use are either recycled or donated.
You may create and use only ONE account. Creating multiple accounts circumvents our site’s thresholds and policies. A seller who has multiple accounts may be subject to the following: • Payment delays • Account suspensions • Account termination. In general, the books we buy include but are not limited to are; novels, textbooks, and college textbooks. We buy any ISBN that appears on Textbook Experts website. The books can be either new or used. Refer to “What condition do the books need to be?” to see what is meant by “New” and “Used Conditions” There are different editions of the same title, so be sure to select the correct edition in order to receive the most accurate quote. o US Edition Textbooks: o Hardcover, paperbacks, and loose leafs editions. o We buy older editions, however, keep in mind that old editions are always less than the current edition. Please note that it’s worth checking the ISBN regardless of what edition it is. o Access Cards. o We buy unscratched/new access codes. Type in the ISBN number located inside the bar code box on the search box to get your quote. o Audio books may be sold if they are included as extra material for the original textbook o We do not buy International Editions, Instructors Editions, Sample Books
On the main page, type the ISBN of the book you want to sell into the search box. The book will be automatically added to the cart. For multiple books please repeat this step. Whole sale sellers please contact us at email@example.com After you have added your books into the cart you can proceed with checkout. Create an account and select how you want to get paid. Once everything is filled out, print the prepaid shipping label and mail your books within 5 days after creating the order. You can only sell 2 of the same ISBN and a total of 10 books within a rolling 21 day period.
The ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a unique number that is used to identify a particular title or edition. There’s 13-digit and 10-digit ISBNs. In most cases, it can be found on the back of your book in the barcode box or whether the barcode box is located. If it’s not located in cover, the ISBN will always be found inside the book in the Copy Rights page. This will often be the case for loose-leaf editions. If there’s no ISBN, the book cannot be sold.
We evaluate the condition of all books sent to Textbook Experts for purchase. This evaluation may take up to 3 business days A book is deemed new if it has never been used, is clean and access code is unscratched. If the book is loose-leaf the shrink-wrap is unbroken. Used book must be in good conditions, ask yourself: would I purchase this book?” We do not accept books that have: o Broken spines or binding o Missing, torn, or loose pages o Excessive writing, marking, or highlighting o Stains or water damage o Burns or rips o Any other significant damage o Instructors, international editions o Sample, Eastern economy, Indian edition book If your book is deemed to be in poor condition or ineligible for purchase, we will recycle your book.
We don’t accept damage books. Please don’t send a book that is not eligible for buyback. If you send a book that is not eligible for buyback the book will be recycled. Some examples of books that are not eligible for buyback are: o Broken spines or binding o Missing, torn, or loose pages o Excessive writing, marking, or highlighting o Stains or water damage o Burns or rips o Any other significant damage o Instructors, international editions o Sample, Eastern economy, Indian edition book
There are two payment options: PayPal or by check. o PayPal : this is the fastest form of payments. PayPal payments should show up in your PayPal account within 4 days of your book checking in at our warehouse. You must have a PayPal account in order to get paid. Once processed, you will receive an email notification that your PayPal payment was issued. o The other payment method is through Check: If you chose check payment, it can take up to 20 business days to receive that check. Once we check-in your order we will mail you a check. Please note that delivery of the check can take 14 to 20 days depending on the proximity of your address. In some cases, you may receive several emails as each book is checked in individually. Upon completion of a buyback quote, Textbook Experts will provide a free, printable shipping label to the Seller in PDF format. To send the order, the Seller must print the label, package the book(s) into a durable shipping box, seal the box, and attach the provided label. • When preparing your sellback items for shipment, please ensure that: • Your items are packaged safely and securely in order to avoid damage in transit. • That you have read our Packing Guidelines. • Your package does not exceed 70 lbs. • The packing slip provided by Textbook Experts is included INSIDE your sellback package along with your sellback items. If you have multiple boxes, please include a copy of the packing slip in each box. • You use the prepaid shipping label provided by Textbook Experts. Shipments that do not use these labels will not be tracked. • All sellback shipments should be sent in within 5 days of confirming your sellback quote. Any items that arrive at our warehouse 30 days after your sellback order date may be canceled or re-quoted. Textbook Experts is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the mail. If you would like to insure your package, you may do so at your own expense. Textbook Experts is not responsible for any loss, damage, lateness, or mishandling that may occur while an item is in transit. If you are concerned that your shipment might be missing, late, or damaged, please contact the shipping company. Textbook Experts issues payment according to the contents of a shipment, not the contents of the onsite buyback quote. Therefore, no payment will be issued for books that are included in the quote but not received. By sending in your sellback items to Textbook Experts , you agree to release us from any claim as to the products, the data stored in the products, or any information on any media used in conjunction with the products. Textbook Experts is not responsible for: any loss suffered by you due to any data that is not erased from the products and transferred to a third party; or any loss of data after the product is submitted to us. After sending in your sellback items to Textbook Experts, any requests for item returns may not be honored.

Textbook Expert purchases a large variety of publications. Upon receipt, Textbook Expert employees will evaluate a book and determine if it is resalable according to the following categories. Resalable (Like New, Good Used, and Acceptable conditions) category includes books with minor to no signs of wear and tear. This can include staining, discoloration, writing, highlighting, markings, tears, and other general damage from use. All pages must be included and all text legible. Textbook Expert pays the same amount for used and unused books in Like New–Acceptable condition. Non-resalable category includes books that have excessive writing, highlighting, or other markings on over 75% of the pages; missing covers, damaged covers and/or binding; numerous torn pages; excessive odor; mold; obscured text or illegible text; or severe staining or water damage covering more than a 1/3 of the page and spanning more than 1/3 of the book; missing pages or stuck-together pages; or books that are deemed inauthentic or a replica. Resalable books that arrive within 30 days of the creation of the buyback order will be purchased at the full amount quoted in the order. Non-resalable books will be recycled and no payment will be sent. In the event that Textbook Expert receives a book which is not listed on its website, that book will be donated to charity or recycled and no payment will be issued.
Textbook Experts reserves the right to inquire how items were originally acquired and request proof of ownership. While under investigation, payment may be delayed or withheld. By participating in the sellback program, you represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner of the products you are selling back, and that those products are free and clear of any lien or encumbrance. Any items submitted to Textbook Experts that are determined to be illegally obtained or printed will be surrendered to authorities. Upon receipt of a shipped package into Textbook Expert’s warehouse, ownership of the contents of the shipment transfer completely and wholly to Textbook Expert. Textbook Expert reserves the sole right to determine the value and condition of any included items according to its own standards and policies. Textbook Expert also reserves the right to resell, recycle, or donate any item obtained through a buyback shipment. The Seller is not able to cancel an order after ownership has transferred to Textbook Expert.
When a seller sells a book to Textbook Experts, he or she will receive a quote that is determined according to Textbook Experts inventory and current market value. Textbook Experts will pay the amount if the following conditions are met: • Textbook Expert receives and processes the book (s) within 30 days of the creation of the buyback quote. During the 30-day period, Textbook Experts will protect the Seller’s original quoted price even if the value of the buyback quote as posted on Textbook Expert’s site decreases. In the event a book(s) arrives after the 30-day period, the Seller will be paid according to the buyback quote posted on the site at the time the order is processed. Sellers are strongly encouraged to ship their orders within 7 days of placing an order to ensure the book arrives in time. • Textbook Expert receives the items as described in the original order Textbook Experts recommends its Sellers take extra care when inputting buyback order information, as many textbooks have multiple editions. We don’t purchase or accept international edition, annotated or non-annotated instructor's editions, or free or complimentary copies. Additionally, Textbook Experts recommends including all additional supplements (such as workbooks, CDs, access codes, etc.). These supplements are considered part of the book(s) being sold, as indicated by its ISBN, and may be required in order to receive the full buyback quote. • The book arrives in “Good” or better condition. See “what condition do the books need to be” for more information on determining a book’s condition. If any of these conditions are not met, Textbook Experts reserves the right to adjust Seller payment accordingly. The quoted price is non-negotiable. We will not increase the amount of the quote should the buyback value increase. Books with no resale value will be recycled or donated to charity.
Books that do not meet our quality standards won’t be accepted for sellback. Read “What Condition do the books need to be” to determine if your items are acceptable for buyback with Textbook Experts. Please do not send items that we don’t support or don’t appear on the home page. We only pay for items that are in the packing list. Please do not send in books that you do not own, or that you have rented from a rental provider. We don’t take stolen books. These items will be confiscated. By participating in the sellback program, you represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner of the products you are selling back, and that those products are free and clear of any lien or encumbrance.
The books that are received are graded in the condition received, and any necessary adjustments are made to the amount paid. No payment can be made for items that arrive at Textbook Experts bent, mangled, torn, or otherwise dismembered. No payment can be made for items that do not arrive. Damage incurred during shipping does not happen very often. However, in most cases damage is due to poor packaging. Please refer to Packing Guidelines on how to safely pack your books.
We recommend that you use the labels we provide. This is for three reasons: (1) our shipping labels are provided free of charge (2) using your own label can cause long processing delays and (3) we may not be able to identify the order if you use your own shipping label.
In order to ensure the safe arrival of your buyback, we recommend you read all of the following tips. o Choose the right box: your books need to be packed tightly. Larger boxes are more often damaged than smaller ones Don’t use Priority Mail/ Flat Rate boxes, using these will impose an additional fee that will be deducted from the buyback quote. o Secure your box: secure the empty areas with bubble-wrap or packing paper. Don’t use newspaper as packing material. Consider using heavy duty boxes when sending more than 3 books. All supplementary materials need to be included. Access cards and CD’s should be inside the book to prevent breaking. o Double check your shipment: Make sure you’re sending all the books listed on your buyback order. Include the packing slip and double check the ISBN. We can’t pay for books we don’t receive or are not in the order. o Wrap the books in plastic: this is important during raining season, it helps them stay dry and protects them from getting moisture damage. o Seal your package: secure your package with packing tape. Scotch and masking tape won’t work. o Don’t use the same label for multiple boxes: one label is only good for one box. Use a clean and label-free package. o Drop off at your local FedEx Office. ATTENTION: Any damage that was incurred before or during shipping may decrease the price of your book. We do not send back books. Please note that Textbook Experts is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred during shipping.
The costumer doesn’t pay for shipping. At check out you will be provided with a pre-paid label that you can printout from your computer. Delivery confirmation is included with the label so that you can verify that the item was delivered successfully. Please place the label on top of your desired package. Use a clean package with no previous labels. If you need to print a label at a later date, you can go to your view orders page and click print shipping label.
You can check the status of your order by logging into your account. After you are logged in, locate the tab named “Orders”. Once there, you have the options to view your current order status, check tracking, and more. You may also check your order status by clicking on the tracking number given in the confirmation email. Please keep in mind that upon receiving the packages it takes 2-5 business days to process your order.
